We can not believe that Makayla is already in Kindergarten. She is so excited and nervous all in one. The 1st day of school Jamie asked her, do you want me to walk you in or drop you off at car pool. She wanted her to drop her off and let her walk in. Jamie said how about the first day I walk you in. She said ok..they got inside the gym and there were a lot of kids and it was noisy. Her teacher asked her if she saw were the K was and told her that is where she would sit every morning until she came and got her. She asked her to go sit down and wait to be dismissed, this is when she looked at Jamie and said will you walk me over there. So she held Jamie's hand and she helped her on the bleachers by her friends. After that she was fine, when the class was leaving the gym she did not even wave bye..to busy waving at another friend in the other kindergarten class. We're thankful she knows at least half of her class from the 2 1/2 years of preschool there.
The 1st day in the cafeteria they have what they call "tears and cheers" for the parents! No tears...with Makayla being in preschool for 2 1/2 years she is ready for "school"!
Their "homework" this week is to learn their Bible verse, learn their car pool # and their lunch #. She is doing very well at all! Check out Jamie's blog...The Haydens, link to the right, to see Makayla working on her bible verse...but Chloe is already in the competing for "talk time"! :-) She wouldn't be quite to let Makayla talk!
